Sonos’s ad-free streaming radio service, Sonos Radio, has added several new shows including podcasts, artist hours, and more during CES 2021.
Object of Sound is a new weekly podcast covering culture and music and hosted by Hanif Abdurraqib. It will be available not only through Sonos, but Mixcloud and all other major podcast platforms.
Sonos is also introing Black is Black, a monthly radio station hosted by DJ Lindsey. It’s described as “examining the black diaspora’s impact on modern music.” It will premiere on February 4 on Sonos Radio as well as Mixcloud.
Crack Magazine, a British music publication, will host a bi-weekly show speaking to artists about their musical heroes that never got the fame they deserved. It is called Unsung and is live now on Sonos Radio.
Finally, new Artist Radio Hours will drop with several major artists including Tiwa Savage, Chris Stapleton, A$AP Ferg, Yola, Japanese Breakfast, and Sun Ra Arkestra. Non Radio HD listeners can listen to new radio hours from D’Angelo, FKA twigs, The Chemical Brothers and Bjork which will tease their own HD stations.
